Our story began in 2004 to support and augment the sales and distribution of the products of our parent company, HDFC Bank. Over the last 20 years we have grown manifold to become one of the largest financial services’ distributors in India, with the distribution of a multitude of products ranging from Home Loans, Life Insurance and General Insurance across India.
HDFC Sales Pvt. Ltd. is managed by its Board consisting of eminent persons, professionals who represent various segments including mortgages, finance, taxation, construction, and urban policy & development. The Board primarily focuses on strategy formulation, policy and control, designed to deliver increasing value to the various stakeholders.
Mr. Bhavesh Zaveri is the Executive Director of HDFC Bank and in-charge of Operations & Cash Management Product. In his current role, he is responsible for Business and Operations across the country and for creating and delivering a flawless operations execution capability across the diversified product suite of the Bank to the Corporate, MSME & Retail verticals including for Asset, for Liabilities and for Transaction Services of Payments & Cash Management, Trade Finance & Treasury, and ATM Product.
Mr. Zaveri has an overall experience of over 38 years and has headed the critical functions of Operations, Cash Management and Technology at the Bank. He joined the Bank in 1998 in the Operations function. He became Business Head – Wholesale Banking Operations in the year 2000 and was appointed as Group Head - Operations in 2009. He assumed additional responsibilities of the Information Technology function in 2015. In his previous role as Group Head - IT, he has contributed to the Digital transformation of the Bank by embracing technology to ensure operational efficiency resulting in improved customer experience across different product offerings of the Bank.
Mr. Zaveri has also participated in RBI’s Internal Payments Council Meet and was part of the Umbrella Organization for Payments Committee of 2004 that led to the formation of National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). He is the only elected Indian from India on the SWIFT Scrl Global Board, Brussels. He has been featured twice in the “Who’s Who in Treasury and Cash Management” by Global Trade Review. He has also been a member of various committees formed by the Reserve Bank of India and Indian Banks’ Association. He also previously served on the Board of SWIFT Scrl - Brussels, Swift India Domestic Services Private Limited, The Clearing Corporation of India Limited, National Payment Corporation of India Limited, Goods & Service Tax Network Limited, HDB Financial Services Limited and HDFC Securities Limited.
Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Zaveri worked for Oman International Bank and Barclays Bank. He holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce from Mumbai University and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.
Before assuming responsibility for Mortgages and Home Loans business, Sumant was managing Business Banking, Rural Banking and SLI verticals for the Bank. Under his leadership, HDFC Bank was acknowledged as the Best SME Bank by SIDBI for FY 2019-2020, by Asia Money 2021-22, Euro Money 2021-22 and Asia Money 2022-23.
HDFC Bank today is one of the largest Bank’s for MSME and Agricultural finance. The Bank is also one of the largest providers of funding under Government schemes like ECLGS, CGTMSE, AIF, PMFME, CGFMU, FPO etc. Sumant and his team spearheaded the growth of the MSME and Agriculture lending business in more than 650 districts and 2,25,000 villages of India. The products and services were delivered through a mix of physical and digital solutions for the Bank’s customer needs and efficiency.
Sumant has been a Corporate and Wholesale banker throughout his two-decade career with the Bank. He joined HDFC Bank in 1999 as a Relationship Manager in the Corporate Banking division. He managed some of the leading Indian and MNC corporates before moving to the Mid-Market Group as Regional Head – West and the All India for the Healthcare business vertical. He contributed significantly towards building the Mid-Market Business vertical and was also involved in its digitisation process.
He is an alumnus of the Symbosis Institute of International Business, Pune. He believes in making small changes daily for bringing the best result for himself and the team, influenced by the book Atomic Habits.
Mr. Rajeev Sardana was a Member of Executive Management of Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited and was heading the Self-Employed Business and Loan against Property of the Corporation. In addition, he was the Regional Business Head for Hyderabad, Chennai & Coimbatore. He was associated with HDFC since 1986 and was also involved in the development of products and policies for retail mortgage loans. After his superannuation on 30th June 2023 and merger of HDFC with HDFC Bank, HDFC Bank has appointed him as a Consultant. He has been involved in consultancy assignments undertaken by HDFC in various countries across Asia to support and establish their housing finance institutions. Mr. Rajeev Sardana is also a Director of HDFC Education and Development Services Private Limited. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and an alumina of Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi.
Mr. S. N. Shroff has a vast experience in the field of law and had been associated with erstwhile Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited, former holding company for close to three decades till his retirement as its Chief Legal Advisor in 2008.
Simrita Ahluwalia is the CEO of HDFC Education. She holds an Engineering Degree from TSEC, Mumbai, and an MBA from ICFAI Hyderabad. She is also a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst. She joined HDFC Education in January 2012.
She was appointed as a CEO with effect from June 2019. She comes with a rich experience and is now committed towards fulfilling the vision of HDFC Education of setting up high quality schools by adopting the best practices and creating a footprint of HDFC in the Education Sector. The HDFC Schools are now established and running schools in three cities i.e. Gurgaon, Pune and Bangalore.
